Yes, the pink and orange in the far distance really are the sky, the North Atlantic and the beach itself, because that's the way it all looks as dawn starts spreading its summer hues across this popular Wellfleet beach - which also just happens to be my favorite. The old wood fence that separates the parking lot from the top of the dune that descends to he beach, plus the wild beach grasses and the blooming rosa rugosa, all add to this wild, early-morning festival of color.
